How to correct W210 odometer with Star diagnostic tool

Equipment:
Star diagnostic system SDS (Super Star C3)
Dell D630 laptop running Windows XP home

Changing mileage/odometer in Star DAS Developer Mode:

1).
Install and activate super Star C3 diagnostic software
Connect Super Star C3 multiplexer with vehicle via OBD socket
Run Star C3 DAS software
Select vehicle model and confirm vehicle information
Select vehicle engine type
Select control unit (Steuergerate)->F3
Select Information and communication (Information und Kommunikation)->F3
 
Select ICM-Instrument cluster with maintenance interval display (KIW-Koiinstrument mit Wartungsintervallanzeige)
 
Select Diagnosis to plant specifications (Diagnose nach Werksangabe)->F3
 
Select Control unit adaptations (Steuergerate-Anpassungen)
 
Select Control unit adaptations (Variant coding) (Steuergerate-Anpassungen (Variantencodierung))->F3
 
Select Variant coding factory settings (Variantencodierung Werkseinstellungen), pull down the list and find out AI programmed (KI programmiert), change the status to No (nein)

Back to Control unit module menu, select Actuations (Ansteuerungen)
Select Complete index of actuations (Gesamtliste aller Ansteuerungen)
 
Select Wegstrechenzahler zurucksetzen(FN-Reset-ODO)
Select Steuergeraet Resetten (PowerON-Modus)(FN-Reset-SG-Power-ON)
Save settings

3).
Back to ICM-Instrument cluster menu, select Initial startup (Inbetriebnahme)
 
Select the last two options. Press F3 to confirm system information
Select Stand des Gesamtwegstrechenzahlers erhohen, manually enter the current correct odometer
 
Select Landervariantencodierung
Set Air conditioning (Klimaanlage) to AVALIABLE (VORHANDEN)
Set Navigation to UNAVALIABLE (NICHT VORHANDEN)
 
Select correct engine type (Motortyp), like OM611 LA
Follow the system prompts, set Korrekturfaktor des Kraftoffverbrauchs value to 00
 
Save settings. Go back to the main menu or exit the Super Star C3 diagnostic software program.
