How to solve Super Star C3 COM port assigned problem


Problem:
One of the V2014.09 Super Star C3 users fails to diagnose W210 and W204 with Dell D630 hard disk format. The system displays “COM port assigned” error message. Then another “Initialization of diagnosis multiplexer failed” error message detected.

Initialization of diagnosis multiplexer failed. Possible causes:
The link between the diagnosis multiplexer and the diagnostic socket is interrupted. The link between the diagnosis multiplexer and the diagnostic unit is interrupted. The voltage supply at the diagnostic socket (circuit 30 and (or) circuit 31) is faulty.

Note: When using SDconnect, check the connection status using the Toolkit. ”

He tried to diagnose other vehicles, but all fail to use.

1) Check the connection between multiplexer and equipment. If there is well connection between device and vehicle, the indicator should flash after start the engine.

2)  Set COM port to COM2. Please check: How to set Star C3 Diagnostic COM port

3) After complete set COM port, run software self test. Please check Super Star C3 Tech support on how to do self-test.
